Vertical Grain Carbonized Bamboo Plywood 4′ X 8′, 3-Ply – Carbonized Bamboo Plywood Panel for Furniture, Cabinets & Tabletop Projects
Bamboo Panels – Solid & Strand Woven Bamboo Boards
Product Description
These unfinished bamboo panels are manufactured from solid bamboo or strand woven bamboo and are available in natural or carbonized colors. The panels are offered in several grain styles including vertical grain, horizontal grain, tiger grain, and braided grain. Bamboo panels are also commonly referred to as bamboo plywood, bamboo boards, bamboo furniture boards, or bamboo veneer panels.
Bamboo panels are widely used for furniture manufacturing, tabletops, cabinetry, shelving, furniture surfacing, and other interior woodworking applications. Their strength, natural appearance, and sustainability make them a popular alternative to traditional hardwood boards.
Product Composition
The panels are produced by bleaching or kiln-drying bamboo strips and laminating them together to form single-ply or multi-ply boards. This process creates strong and stable bamboo panels suitable for various furniture and interior design applications.
Bamboo Material
Latin Name: Phyllostachys Pubescens
Also known as Moso bamboo or Mao bamboo.
Bamboo is technically a grass rather than a tree, yet it is one of the fastest-growing woody plants in the world. Moso bamboo typically matures in 4–6 years, allowing it to be harvested quickly while continuing to regenerate naturally. The underground root system produces new bamboo shoots every rainy season, making bamboo a rapidly renewable material that does not contribute to the depletion of traditional hardwood resources.
Density and Material Properties
Solid bamboo density: approximately 650 kg/m³
Strand woven bamboo density: approximately 950 kg/m³
Moisture content: 8–14%
Common Applications
Bamboo panels are commonly used for:
Furniture manufacturing
Table tops and work surfaces
