Vertical Grain Natural Bamboo Plywood 4′ X 8′, 3-Ply – Natural Bamboo Plywood Panel for Furniture, Cabinets, Tabletop Projects & Woodworking

Product Description

These unfinished bamboo plywood sheets are manufactured from solid bamboo or strand woven bamboo and are available in natural or carbonized colors. The panels are offered in several grain patterns, including vertical grain, horizontal grain, tiger grain, and braided grain. Bamboo panels are commonly referred to as bamboo plywood, bamboo boards, bamboo furniture boards, or bamboo woodworking panels.

These durable bamboo panels are widely used for furniture manufacturing, tabletops, cabinetry, shelving, countertops, and interior woodworking projects. Their strength, natural appearance, and sustainability make them a popular alternative to traditional hardwood boards.

Product Composition

Bamboo panels are produced by bleaching or kiln-drying bamboo strips and laminating them together to create single-ply or multi-ply boards. This process produces stable and durable bamboo panels suitable for a variety of interior applications.

Bamboo Material

Latin Name: Phyllostachys Pubescens
Also known as Moso bamboo or Mao bamboo.

Bamboo is technically a grass rather than a tree and is one of the fastest-growing woody plants on earth. Moso bamboo typically matures in 4–6 years, making it a rapidly renewable material. The underground root system continues to produce new bamboo shoots every rainy season, allowing the plant to regenerate naturally without contributing to the depletion of natural wood supplies.

Because of this rapid growth cycle, bamboo is widely considered an eco-friendly and sustainable material used in furniture and interior construction.

Density and Material Properties

Solid bamboo density: approximately 650 kg/m³

Strand woven bamboo density: approximately 950 kg/m³

Moisture content: 8–14%

Strand woven bamboo panels provide higher density and durability, making them suitable for more demanding furniture and woodworking applications.

Common Applications

Bamboo panels are commonly used for:

Furniture manufacturing

Table tops and work surfaces

Cabinetry and shelving

Furniture surfacing and veneers

Interior woodworking projects

Their durability, stability, and natural grain appearance make bamboo panels suitable for both residential and commercial design projects.
